Who We Are

"A new commandment I give you: Love one another, even as I have loved you."

We are part of the larger Anglican Communion, a member parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California. We value our deep historic roots and the bonds of affection we share with churches around the world in Christ Jesus. Our ancient/contemporary approach to faith anchors us in ancient truths and empowers us to address challenges of today's fast-changing world.

We welcome people looking for a place to worship God in community with others. We don't have all the answers. We don't even have all the questions. But our simple faith trusts the faithfulness of God.

Join us!

A Unique and Valued Faith

As an Episcopal Church we offer a unique perspective on the Christian life in the Yuba Sutter region.

We are anchored by history. We read the Bible with appreciation for its ancient setting and how it links us with the work of God throughout time. Our worship has been formed by generations past. Our style is traditional because we believe the Tradition has something important to teach us.

Because we are anchored by history and by an appreciation for the biblical narrative as an ancient text, we are able to be responsive to change in our contemporary life. We embrace differences and diversity because we know that differences and diversity has always been with us.

We learn to listen carefully to what the Spirit is saying to the Church as we listen carefully to each other. Everyone brings a unique gift and a unique perspective to our community. We treat others with respect knowing that in welcoming the stranger, we may be "entertaining angels unawares."

Our vision is to be a community that receives others into our midst with the same grace and love that God has welcomed us.
